Coming Soon: 2020 Aston Martin DBX SUV

2020 Aston Martin DBX SUV

If you’ve ever hoped for the arrival of an Aston Martin SUV, we have some good news for you! Aston Martin has begun preparations to unveil the Aston Martin DBX SUV. Currently, the DBX is being tried-and-tried on a rigorous Welsh Rally stage, ensuring it not only offers the style you’ve come to expect from the brand but the high-powered performance as well. Read on to learn more about this upcoming luxury SUV and when you can expect to see it in our new Aston Martin inventory.

What Can You Expect from the DBX?

Other than its SUV body style, what will differentiate the DBX from the rest of the Aston Martin lineup? The Aston Martin DBX strives to be a multi-purpose vehicle. This means its testing program is unique from those of its siblings’; its design reflects the sophistication of Aston Martin, as well as driving dynamics, but its performance expands beyond the brand’s motorsports roots to include practical uses as well. It’ll be as much of a family vehicle as a high-performance vehicle.

The Aston Martin DBX will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine. San Antonio drivers can expect genuine SUV capability from the DBX, including significant towing power and go-anywhere capability.

More About the DBX Testing Program

Testing in Wales is just the start of the Aston Martin DBX SUV’s testing in real-world conditions. To ensure it’s prepared for all sorts of terrain, the DBX will be subjected to everything from the Arctic’s frozen climate to the Middle East’s sweltering deserts. Its speed will also be tested on the German autobahn and Nürburgring Nordschleife. Needless to say, whether you’re weaving through the streets of Sugarland or hitting the road for a weekend adventure, the DBX will have the gumption to go the distance.

When Will the DBX Be Unveiled?

The Aston Martin DBX is slated to be unveiled to the public during the last quarter of 2019 as a 2020 model. When it’s ready to enter production, the DBX will be built at Aston Martin’s Lagonda St. Athan facility in Wales. The company has even greater plans for this facility beyond the production of the DBX. St. Athan will become the “Home of Electrification” when the brand’s all-electric models hit the marketplace.
